Relax
in the shade of the mulberry tree, sipping a glass of
cool rosé from one of the nearby vineyards. Wander
down the hill for lunch on the sun-dappled Cours Gambetta.
Enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool while you decide on
tomorrow’s expedition, perhaps to Avignon, or to
Moustiers-Ste-Marie, or maybe just the long walk to the
Monastere St. Joseph.

to La Campagne Saint Charles, located in the pretty village
of Cotignac, in the Var -- La Provence Verte.
The
house is a one hour drive from St. Tropez, and about one
and a half hours drive from either Nice or Marseilles. Cotignac
is well-placed to visit numerous attractive sites in the
South of France, including the Abbaye de Thoronet, the Gorges
de Verdon, the Chateau of Entrecasteaux, the mediaeval villages
of Fox-Amphoux and Tourtour. Aix-en-Provence is well within
reach, while Arles, Avignon, Grasse, and St. Paul-de-Vence
make wonderful day trips. The coast and the Mediterranean
beaches are very close. Vineyards offering excellent wines
for tasting are almost everywhere. |
